Nose:

Fragrant yellow fruits bloom atop steaming bread pudding. Honey‑soaked pineapple and pear carry a hint of austerity, while a sweep of fresh‑cut grass and spirited alcohol spice guarding a splash of Sprite. Cream‑soda fizz mingles with cereal malt, and soft white‑flower notes drift in from the back.

Palate:

Mead and orange blossom abound—classic hallmarks of youthful Glen Grant. Ripe pear and apple glide through honeyed water. Peppermint pricks the spice, and the fruit turns herbaceous: green grass, jasmine tea, nutmeg, cinnamon bark and vanilla pods create a politely bitter façade at mid‑palate. Orange peel and barley then flow in, wrapped in a touch of caramel.

Finish:

Predominantly herbal, with minimal fruit. Mango‑sorbet sweetness and floral notes rise from a wavering meadow bank.

Thoughts:

The embodiment of a summer whisky—sweet, airy and effortlessly quaffable, encouraging generous sips. It leans toward bitterness at mid‑palate, yet the surrounding elements regain balance eventually. I haven’t been drinking many young whiskies lately, but this one shines amid the crowded outturns we see these days. Thank you C for recommendations.
