Nose:

Dried mangoes, very big on honey aloe vera, cold and waxy. Generous amount of vanilla icing sugar laying on top of peppermint eau de vie, then we are back to mangoes, now more on the confectioneries side at the core, beautiful. Glazed citrus with minimal(if any) maritime features, vibrant and youthful malt syrup heavily buffered by paraffin and honeycomb.

Palate:

Cream-infused fruits making huge waves on the palate with incredible intensity. Tropical fruits galore - starting with juicy mangoes, jack fruits, sweet papaya, overripe banana, lychees, grapefruits, oranges, limes and even passion fruits are all deeply immersed in peppermint schnapps garnished with fresh green mint leaves. Very high level of waxiness, the texture as well as the bitterness of paraffin and camphor can be clearly felt. Sweet malt can merely gaze through, albeit positively, from the heavy insulation.

Finish:

An even distribution of malt, fruits and herbs at the end, which slowly mellows and opens up a second wave of comfortable tropical-citrus sweetness to finish.

Thoughts:

A young and powerful fruit bomb from the Nectar, as if multiplier of substances have been compressed and sealed off by the waxiness waiting to be ignited and fire. Pulteney at cask strength can be very waxy, but it is rare to see the fruits are able to match its intensity. We are probably looking at young OP hitting top form here. Crazy, but truly delicious. Definitely an eye-opener for me, close to two stars.
